I think spamassassin is stripping the From lines.  From spamassassin's 
manpage:

       -F 0 | 1, --add-from, --no-add-from
           Ensure that the output email message either always
           starts with a 'From ' line (1) for UNIX mbox format,
           or ensure that this line is stripped from the output
           (0).  (default: add)

"ensure that this line is stripped"
