Even better for those who don't like a javascript solution is HTML special 
character ASCII codes:

<a href="&#109;ailto&#58;staff&#64;mpex&#46;net">staff&#64;mpex&#46;net</a>

is a real nightmare for spambots - because they don't interpret HTML and if 
you wanted you could change every single character to a special one (so 
just converting &#64 back to @ won't help them ,)
