Thanks all. I am guessing that most our social followers support Wikimedia content and the Wikimedia platform. So:
1. Would a petition to FB from thousands of followers make a difference? 2. I am thinking that well designed, short social posts that excite our followers into clicking links to content on our platform might be sufficient for our goals. Thoughts? This ties in with Luis' comment about closed web versus open web; FB gains from closed web, and we gain from open web, so strategically I think that we would want to encourage our followers to venture out to the open web and onto our platform.
