This is pure speculation but perhaps the DMSO removed some of the excess
Testosterone from the hair follicles, which is thought to be a causative
agent in male pattern baldnes. I am not discounting the CS though, since
we really don't know all the benefits of silver. The information on it
causing cells to revert to stem cells at a wound site might apply here.
Stem cells being less differentiated cells that can then become what
ever is needed.

Male pattern baldness is genetic, but there are also other kinds of hair
loss that are not genetic but stress, nutrition, disease or hormone
related. Some women lose hair after a pregnancy or miscarriage, thought
to be due to the shift in hormones.
