Danese,

The ASF's pragmatic stance is well known -- I tend agree with it.

I'm more interested in understanding what's going on inside MS. Like
it or not, MS is big and influential -- it's probably useful to
understand what their motivations are.

Personally, I don't think corporations are evil -- even MS. They're
just amoral. They may just happen to have common (or opposing) goals
with me in pursuit of their profits. I just need to know whether to
step out of the way or hitch a ride.
