I can (and will) say that MF Husain is a senile jackass with pretensions to artistry, and Ravi Varma was a cheap clone of third rate western calendar painters .. but there's a difference between that and the sort of criticism muslim groups issuing fatwas on the Danish cartoonist / salman rushdie, or vhp / bajrang dal idiots going after Husain practice. There's other "criticism" too - the pseudo intellectual far left nonsense that passes for post modernism in JNU, ganashakti etc etc. I just regard the whole lot with equal contempt. Modi, Togadia and Thackeray are just as much of a threat as the assorted maulanas and muslim league / simi people you criticize. Worse, they're a threat backed by local government.
