My personal take on this is: if I find a company's management
unprofessional, I will work at fixing this and either bring it to an
acceptable level, or get fired for trying.

Much harder in practise (at least in my personal experience),
especially given the easy alternative of switching to some other
place. Of course, it also depends on where you are in your life and
career: five years ago I wouldn't think twice before switching to a
job that paid 1.5x, but today it's a different matter. I guess
22-year-olds are more likely to experiment with their careers than
oldies like Biju and me (sorry, Biju :) ).

Also, even in this competitive job market with so many options,
finding the right job is like finding the right life partner. It can
take several job switches before you end up at a place where you want
to spend the "rest of your life" (like 8-10 years).
