Works fine on both. Just make sure that if you are using Active Directory/Kerberos for authentication and authorization, your DC’s are capable of handling a lot of traffic/requests. I installed SGE on Centos 7 back in January this year. If my recolection is correct, the procedure was analogous to the instructions for Centos 6. There were some issues with the firewalld service (make sure that it is not blocking SGE), as well as some issues with SSL.
