I've got a recipe to which I've added:
RRECOMMENDS_${PN} = ""
The documentation says that "If, during the build, a package from the
RRECOMMENDS list cannot be found, the build process continues without an error".
I tried a build without (i.e. no recipe) and it failed with "Nothing
provides ".

Good day,
How do you add perl-native package in SDK? When I generated my SDK using my
own target, it was not found in $(PKG_CONFIG_SYSROOT_DIR)/usr/lib.
Really appreciate your help on this matter.

Hi Vladimir,
In that case, let's go ahead with "oracle-jse-ejre.inc" rather than removing
the "LICENSE" file from oracle-jse.inc.

Hi,
Thanks! Strange that it may seem I've done 'git apply --check --verbose' before
sending. I'll check patches more carefully next time.

Folks,
My understanding is that while this recipe generated download URL will work if
you have already visited the Oracle download location, it won't work for a
build system that has never been there before. Try it.
Also, Oracle has previously been very much against using any mechanism that

We are using yocto for custom device which will communicate with the
other mobile devices over the internet. For that we need some package
which can be used to traverse behind the NAT. like libjingle, XMPP
etc.
In yocto, is there any package available for this kind of functionality?

I have ran kernel_configcheck and it didn't appear to indicate anything.

We'd like to have the system images we build to contain a build id, or
at least a pile of information inside the image itself that lets us
identify which build is being run/tested. Indeed, the information
'bitbake' kicks out just as it starts a build is exactly the sort of
thing we'd like sitting
I can't seem to get simple bash code to parse properly in my recipes.
I have something like this:
do_install_prepend(){
bb.build.exec_func('do_change_dir', d)
}
do_change_dir(){
cd
}
I get this when I try bitbake -c clean -f :
