no Windows Installer experience) I'm generally happy.
The one item I am worried about is managing a very large number of
files. Our application's Help directory contains about 1500 files (html,
gif, etc). It seems the only way

it is attempting to remove a web site with the incorrect metabase path.

You're right WIX doesn't have a problem using paths containing spaces.
The problem was that this program Subtext expected another version of a
dll than the version of the dll that got installed.
So the custom action failed because of a dll link error.
