Hi all,
Still a noob here and I have not found any complete examples of using
MSSQL.
I have purchased and downloaded the PDF manual but no help.
I am on a Mac (but use Linux also). I get an error:

Also, I've tried a few things and here are my responses - again, I am
new at this (I had looked at web2py a year ago briefly) so don't laugh
too loud ;v)

Ah! Thanks Massimo! I thought it must have been something like that.
I will give it a try and report back.
An actual source example or tutorial would be helpful - maybe I can
give you one when I get it working :v)

You received this
/Library/ODBC or /usr/local/
etc/freetds.conf (see below) - or do I access directly via an IP
and the actual db name? I think I've tried both properly. I've tried
too many variations and always get as follows:

Thanks Ondrej,
I do have unixodbc loaded - the MacPorts program (port at a shell) is
a installer, like apt-get in Linux.
I also seem to have (pre-installed?) iODBC and I don't know, but I
think it may be getting in the way
or at least confusing the issue. I have no experience at all with
ODBC on
ot;just boot tethered' mode - otherwise the
it will boot with jailbreaking disabled
2) pTerm does not go into background properly, so it will
kill web2py if you try to use an iPad browser instead
of the built in one - hopefully this is updated soon.
Here's some screenshots on picasa ->

Actually it does! I created a script...
#!/bin/sh
# start--- web2py startup for background
