Linux (unix) command line tool. You can see a lot more besides, if you

BTW: why are we forced to use numbers to identify the desktops? These
are just artefacts of which order the desktops were loaded, surely it
would be better to christen them; then

rather than numbers. The numbers (:1,:2,...) are just artefacts of the
order the vncservers were run. It would be much nicer if I could get to
a vnc session as ":simon" or ":typesetting"; then the server worries

Any printer that the vncserver m/c can see. So for most people this will
be an SMB (Win/DOS or Linux samba) by your desk.
The major sec
vncviewer works fine on our macs & Linux and w98, but not on NT. The
viewer app runs briefly, does its dialogs and then hangs around for ~10s
and then terminates. And that's it. No error messages from either
vncviewer or windows gpf. What's going on?

If a remote application wants a beep, then it should make my vnccleient
