i got this error while trying to load vnc...after in entered the password, i got
the java.net.Socket Exception: Connect error...
below is the winvnc.log file...what is this error suppose to mean "vncDesktop.cpp :
failed to delete atom!"???
hope someone can help me quick..thanks

When I start vncviewer from Windows XP and connect to my Mandrake 8.1
box I get the grey screen with the X as well as a shell window open. How
can I get the desktop to open inplace of the shell window?

Hi, I recently installed VNC and it was working fine, but I then installed
TightVNC and TridiaVNC along side, and now none of them work anymore. I've
uninstalled them all, and reinstalled the original VNC, but it still doesn't

You need to run both VNC and DNS2GO on the host, you need not run anything
on the computer you will access remotely because using DNS2GO you will be
using the JAVA.
Obvioulsy you must have JAVA installed on the computer you are accessing
from.
