Did you get the password dialog?
The port is open in the firewall, but is it forwarded? Or is it forwarded to
the correct internal address?
You've tried three diff. NIC for client, but have you tried diff. NIC for

If you're not sure, a quick solution is to set the same password to both

IIRC, VNC's expecting display number ranging from 0 to 99. If you put
name:80, it would thus think you're connecting to display #80, ie port 5980. Use
name::80 instead.

There're several solutions, and a straight forward one is like this:
Assign display number #1 to one of your two PCs. Let's say you choose 192.168.1.104
to use display 1.
Then in the router, set a port forwarding of 5900 to 192.168.1.100
Set another port forwarding of 5901 to 192.168.1.
After reading that introduction page, I don't think psexec returns any exit

I think your last sentence actually is "... the VNC session is active?"
The answer to your question depends on where you're. Are you in one PC and
want to determine if VNC is active in another? Or you're in one PC and want to know
if VNC is active in that SAME PC?
For
cted, provided you're in "shared" mode. Read DOC for more info:

What is VNC reflector? Where did you get it? It doesn't seem to be a product
of RealVNC:
http://www.realvnc.com/documentation.html
Maybe you could get better help from the reflector's own author/programmer.

I'd like to know how to specify a HTTP port not different by 100 than the
native port. This can be put in FAQ too.

That means your VNC server is running in WinME (in a laptop), right? And the
others laptops are running WinME too? Have you compared the screen's colour depth
amongst your laptops? Are they the same? Or do you have a special mouse pointer
other than Microsoft's default mouse pointer?
You mean you want to run the Java viewer as an application instead of an
applet?
Well, first of all, I don't think you could because in general rule, an applet
is programmed a little differently than an application. Technically, an applet
doesn't have and doesn't need the main
You need port-forwarding. Please read the FAQ and manual:

To know the public IP address assigned to you by your ISP, you could go to
this URL which, in the same time, could help you check if
VNC 4 writes connections to event log in WinNT platforms. For Unix, I don't
know. For Win9x, maybe you need to specify a log file?

Oh! I was jumping too fast and I was wrong. It wasn't the vncviewer.jar file
that you need, but those class files. Sorry. I was actually running that command in
the directory containing both the jar and the class files :p

"where to execute the Java command": it has to be executed
in the same directory as that jar file.

This is RealVNC :)
Have you tried RealVNC? Or have you written to TightVNC's author(s)?

Is it possible to add a tag, like [VNC], to subject of every mail posted to
this mailing list. I think Ibm not the only who receives tons of spams everyday. If
mails to this mailing-list arenbt tagged, they would easily be missed or deleted by
error.
