Hi there is since ever I use VNC a bug in the passwords. I used the password 'gateway112' but I could also logon with 'gateway1' and 'gateway11'. This is probably a problem never seen by anybody but it would be really great to fix this bug as soon as possible :) Thanks to everybody working on

Hi. I have recently installed VNC v3.3.5 on a couple of XP boxes. My workstations are also part of a Workgroup which all have the same user passwords. The administrator password is different though. I set Accept Socket Connections with a password that is different from both of these network log

update... went back to the beginning... for server: 1) loaded redhat 8.0 linux onto a clean box 2) copied latest version of VNC server from realvnc site (rpm for redhat 7.3) (didn't know how to build the tar version, but this shouldn't be an issue) 3) modified xstartup file for gnome 4) r
