So, try to install it through Add/Remove Program (ARP). As a
matter of fact, when you install in server-class of Windows systems
(esp true for old versions), it's advised to do so through ARP so that
you could have full access to all system's resources.

1. Have you installed VNC through Add/Remove Program?
2. Is your computer free from virus?

Gurjit,
FYI, the message you're seeing appears to be an Itanium-specific message
indicating that floating point emulation is being used. These messages have
nothing to do with VNC. You can disable floating-point emulation warnings
with "dmesg -n4".

Hi Gurjit,
The software you're using is a third-party build of an old beta-version of
VNC Free Edition. You probably want to upgrade to a standard build.
Alternatively, you could contact the vendor of the build you're using for
support for it.

I've checked one of the PCs in question. VNC shows up as a service but the

Chris,
You need to make sure you have configured the machines with settings. The
current VNC Server release assumes that the relevant registry key will
already exist when it is run, which isn't the case if you haven't configured
it.

It looks like your server either was not compiled correctly or you did not
install the packages correctly.
Either re-compile or re-install and make sure you have all the dependencies
correct. Use apt for the install and take note of any dependencies and make
sure those packages are installed as w
