[USRP-users] USRP N310 Receiver Noise Floor, Sensitivity

2018-05-13 Thread Zhongyuan Zhao via USRP-users
Hi, I am trying to calculate the link budget for USRP N310. Suppose I want a SNR of 20dB, the signal bandwidth is 10MHz, the thermal noise floor is -103.9dm. Receiver noise figure is 5.8dB (N310 datasheet 5.8dB @1.8GHz) Rx Antenna Gain 6dBi Path loss: 120dB Tx Antenna Gain 6dBi RF cable Loss (RX+

Hi everyone, I follow the instruction in the following website in order to add new IP to my X310. http://www.synchronouslabs.com/blog/creating-a-custom-rfnoc-block-with-using-xillinx-ip At the last stage in the website, in order to build the bin file that burn to the FPGA, they use the make.p

Hello Robin, Thanks for the reply. We quickly tried your suggestion, and it seems to work fine! We first thought it was impossible to have 2 living streamers at the same time, because of the next comment in uhd/device.hpp Note: There can always only be one streamer. When calling get_tx_stream()

The Receiver Noise figure should include sampling noise and ADC ENOB. Is that a free space path loss? You don't have any design margin for fades/blockages etc, so an External LNA might be a good idea. 3.6 dB NF isn't particularly low for a LNA, but it will help. On Sun, May 13, 2018 at 3:49 AM, Zh

Thank you for the response. 3.6dB NF is not impressive however I was considering a wideband LNA as an once-for-all solution for the entire frequency range 50-6000MHz of N310. Let me re-phrase the question in two different ways: 1) What is the minimal discernible signal (MDS) at the input of the N

Hi all, We have two pieces of E313,the difference of them is one of them insert sg1 imges and another insert sg3 image. When we take DC power supply(12V) for e313,the sg1's e313 would auto start, but for the sg3's e313,we must press power button, then e313 power on. Is it normal? How could make auto
