when running sa-update in debug, always end up with this: channel: current version is 895075, new version is 895075, skipping channel Are there no updates, or am I misconfigured for rules updates?

Started happening a month or so ago. Every now and then out of the blue I'll get the following error: spamd[61494]: bayes: cannot open bayes databases /usr/local/spamd/bayes_* R/W: lock failed: Interrupted system call This causes scans to take 40-60 seconds to complete as they seem to wait t

I see where one can forward mail to location and have spamassassin scan them. For both spam and ham I gather. Wondering what settings to change to have it ignore any additional info the forward adds. Yes, I am looking for a bit of spoon feeding here, as, well, it's been along day.

Thank you for the reply. I am not using TextCat so didn't load the plugin as you suggest. The reason is that the following thread: http://www.mail-archive.com/users@spamassassin.apache.org/msg69225.html leads me to believe that TextCat might not be suitable for my needs, since (as quoted within t
