heh, well . . . for convenience, I just installed what "came with" the OS 
distribution, but can see I will need to do something  . . . soon.

It does tell me 3.2.4 yet "sa-update" works.  Runs, anyway.  sa-update -V says 
"sa-update version svn607589"
