Ah well - latest news is that perl 5.8.6 partially mitigated the problem. However, as a test I turned off fetchmail for a couple hours then let 'er rip. That placed a big enough load on the system that I started seeing the PerMsgStatus error at line 2119 again. {^_^} - Original Message -
