Ron, I use a Macbook Pro and you might want to check the folders and
files below Documents to see what permissions have been set on them.
If you transferred the folders as well as files from your XP machine,
the user id and permissions may not jive with your Macbook Pro

My PC was Windows XP and I have transferred all of my documents from the PC
to the Mac. My Macbook is 10.8.2. I am having difficulty getting past
Documents to individual folders in saving on the Mac.
