This may help others fix a problem with a Dell laptop, Broadcom wifi and
NetworkManager. Special thanks to Jirka Klimes for insight and patience.
Here were the symptoms:
1. WiFi worked without NM but not with it.
2. "Enable wireless" was grayed out in the NM applet.
The solution is simply to bla
I just noticed that my wireless (which has been working flawlessly
since installing F12) is no longer available. NM has wireless grayed
out as "disabled."
I uninstalled and re-installed kmod-wl and broadcom-wl. I deleted the
connection and re-created it in the NM dialog. No joy.

Last night I was running X on two different ttys. When I shutdown the
system, a policy window came up saying that I had to enter the root password
to shutdown the system -- which I did. This morning -- X cannot find my
screens. I'm wondering if this is a HAL problem or not ? How do I
diagnosis/fix

Pulse gets it right with youtube and plays them with the Video settings.
However, it plays VLC or SMPlayer or whatever with the music settings.
Any idea how to correct this?

Has anyone figured this out? I tried Win 7 in both KVM and VirtualBox. I
had more success in the latter. Windows recognizes the device (so does
Linux) but the mytalk updater does not. In fact, as soon as it probes
for the device Windows loses it.
