I was able to install F29 from live media. I then upgraded a release at a
time upto F36.

F29 did not allow the boradcom wifi to work, this began working after the
upgrade to F30 and the addition of kmod-wl
I've come across a circa 2011 Mac Book Pro. It appears to be in decent
condition save for the power adapter which appears to have been chewed by a

Actually you may be better off with CENTOS for stability. Another
consideration will be your desktop manager. As some use more resources than

It was suggested to use a ln -s command to use space in /home to store the
rpms, this is your best option

You could also find what addresses are active on your whole subnet and then
port scan them. Open ports should give you what might be a printer. Try
the ones that have both HTTP and LPR/LPD open.
