Hello,
I am trying to consume messages off an ActiveMQ queue (ActiveMQ 5.x)
sent by a ruby STOMP client. The messages are being sent, and I can
see them on the ActiveMQ web portal. The message text contains a
string, which I also see in the portal.
However, when I receive the message in
Yeah, the web console is terrible. I don't trust it all anymore. Which kind
of sucks because reported numbers like pending count, number of consumers,
etc are nice to know.
Sigh, I'll try testing it again with a test queue and see if the load
balancing is happening correctly.
Thanks for the help
I don't see anything obviously wrong with the config files. I
normally give each networkConnector a unique name attribute, but I
don't think that would cause it to not work. I don't typically use
the Web console, though (I think issues like the negative message
count are known) -- to test it "the

Could you post the config files for both servers just for a sanity check?

Hi
I have the following scenario: There would be a queue that has messages
sitting on it. This queue has a listener that listens for messages and
routes a certain message to a different queue (channel). So the queue acts
as a Content-Based Router that examines the message content and routes the

Yes, I can telnet into the IP addresses from both machines. So, queue1 can
telnet into queue2 and queue2 and telnet into queue1. When I telnet in, I
can see messages going across and various output and stuff.

Ben,
I just ran a quick test with my 5.1 setup and everything worked as expected.
With the networkConnector below, only messages destined for queues with a

for topics with a prefix of "local." were excluded.

Can you see the ActiveMQ port from each machine
It is set to "queue2". All of the properties are set to what you would think
they are (for each queue). I double checked again and there aren't any
mistakes.
Thoughts?

Yes, that's one area where it is used in ActiveMQ.

Greetings,
I have 2 ActiveMQ nodes (both 5.1.0). They are linked via static TCP
networkConnector statements:
[host-1]
[host-2]
Everything works fine. If Host-2 has a subscriber on topic foo and
someone sends a message to topic foo on host-1 the subscriber gets a copy.
When I add the
Thanks for testing this. I also saw your follow up reply where the
maxInactivityDuration option solved the zombie issue. Looking at the wire
format page you linked, you are correct. The option should be turned on by
default. I will log a JIRA to have it turned on to 30 seconds by default.
Best,
Hi Bruce,
I looked at the configuration, but it appears I need to download
jetty-plus-6.1.4.jar. When looking on the mortbay.org site, I don't see any
references to JettyPlus on their download site:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/Downloading+Jetty
When I google for it, I find a link

I don't think so, I created the session already ThreadLocal since it is known

Hi all,
Is anybody aware of possible problems when (re)using a same Connection to
activeMQ by different threads? According to the JMS specification,
implementations should support concurrent use of Connections, so I created one
connection to be used by all consumer / producers.
However, I expe
