Did you do the dkms command (modified for your kernel version) after
changing nv-pat.c?
If not, try that. And if that doesn't work, you could try removing and
reinstalling your current kernel version; that should cause dkms to
rebuild the nvidia module.

I also see this problem with Lubuntu 14.10 x86-64, a clean install.
nvidia-settings version 331 is broken when used with version 304 of the
Nvidia binary driver (nvidia-304).
Running nvidia-settings, changing refresh rate and clicking Apply causes
nvidia-settings to crash with this console output:

I think I have this issue on my Dell Inspiron mini 1018.
When it freeze, my machine won't recover. Hard reset is needed.

OK I'm trying out Natty Beta 1 fully uptodate and suspend still doesn't

I use this tool here, http://kcheck.sourceforge.net/ to build a custom
Kernel and just enabled any AMD/Radeon options I find under video or
whatever. Now suspend works fione, but funnily enough Compiz doesn't
anymore, so
Only have an opensuse 11.4 livecd to hand, but with that it's same old
same old. In other words it doesn't work :)
As for kms I'm pretty sure i left that enabled, not that I know where to
look and check of course.

I think that is a grahpic card driver bug. I'm using ATI Catalyst Proprietary
drivers.
Where can I post this bug? I nedd to solve this proble, even if this is a minor

Cah someone give some more detailed instructions how to put this in to a
kernel? I am running the 32 bit version of Kubuntu so I can not make
used of this compiled packages. Furthermore I have already a patch for
the problems with the GOBI WWAN from

specific of rebuilding only the parts that needed and copying them. So I
do not know what I have to do to extend these in a way that it works for

I also experienced those freezes. Using the kernel patch from:

Once I had a crash because of .xsessions-errors filling up m harddrive, but
