Some more information on this:
When I have alpha blurring enabled in Compiz (without even using it for the
window decorations!), the window menu button really often does not show the
menu when clicked. After disabling the blur effect, the problem still exists,
but not as often as before. WTF? ;)

I may add that (using compiz 0.8.6) tooltips are also affected by this
problem: one need to stand firm with the mouse on a UI element for the
default timeout for tooltips to show up, then move one pixel or two and
the tooltip will appear.

I just tried in on a Asus EEE 1005HA, using Maverick x86
(2.6.35-23-generic).
Two-finger scrolling (both horizontal and vertical) works wonderfully,
as does tapping with two fingers. It doesn't seem to detect a 3-finger
tap, though. Then again, I don't know if my touchpad has the hardware
capabi

I got it first time when i installed on SSD drive. But i have got it on

I am also seeing this issue. The mouse still moves around, but the
whole display ceases to redraw. Also just before this happens (when the
app first stars) the screen flickers for a few seconds in a really nasty
strobe-like way.
