Rishi Gadhok, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/cur
I use Kubuntu 12.04.1LTS, this implies Ubuntu12.04.1.

hereÅ› what i do to SCROLL when this bug kicks in.
Hold Left mouse button inside the window area (anywhere inside the
window u are looking to scroll) and then use the scoll. It works :).
Only drawback is, u have to keep holding the Left Mouse (or touchpad)
button to scroll.
I have one of those new
I can reproduce this in Ubuntu Software Center 100% of the time. I've
never been able to scroll with the clickpad in its window.

my standard test, and 0ubuntu5.1 hasn't frozen yet (after about ten
minutes testing), though the bar does seem to "stick" sometimes when I
flick my fingers and let the scrolling coast. This might be a CPU issue
