I'm in the same boat as palimmo. I've been using the /bin directory as my standard test, and 0ubuntu5.1 hasn't frozen yet (after about ten minutes testing), though the bar does seem to "stick" sometimes when I flick my fingers and let the scrolling coast. This might be a CPU issue (I'm on integrated graphics, so no appreciable acceleration), but I don't remember it doing that in 0ubuntu5--maybe this is a side-effect of the fix? If so, it's preferable to bars that freeze at any rate.
