The firefox has vaapi enabled, the interaction appears between multiple
vaapi streams (the videos of the attendees) and possibly the OpenGL
around it.
I restarted firefox with AMD_DEBUG=nooptvariant now which seems to make
it more stable, it was hanging the GPU multiple times per minute before.

last time, it went to gdm, but then gdm did not recognize it was docked
and suspended. I think the kernel needed two attempts to resume, it got
suspended again after the first one; and it produced a whole

The proposed debdiff is wrong, it reverts a patch in the patch series by
adding a new patch. I think we can probably remove the vt-handoff.patch
from the patch series for groovy without much checking, but any SRU will
need to consult with flavours to check if they need the handoff.

(2) ubuntu-release-upgrader did not check that the solution it picked at
the end (after re-marking meta packages for upgrades) was actually

The workaround provided by Greg King (greg-james-king) works but if you close
the nvidia-settings UI it won't open again (process starts but does not render
the UI and it makes one CPU-core go to 10

With the latest updates (as of yesterday) The problems still exist.
When using extended monitors, in Classic Desktop (No effects) it works
fine, when using Unity or Classic Desktop with effects the image in both
monitors is just not right. I'm attaching a screen show that partially

plymouth 0.8.2-2ubuntu3.
The crashed session is on VT7, new one on VT8.
Crashes on ENTER. Not tried "2".
Intel 4500 graphics. This is unrelated to ati.

ati driver.

You can start updating again now. They just had some packages out with
too high version numbers which wouldnt get easily updated anymore. Well,
they could have upped the epoch, but that would have been too much of a
change on all the "normal" packages.

Disappear titlebar and maximize, minimize
I had a similar issue - this was seemingly caused by api mismatch caused
by a wrong epoch on the libdrm package in edgers.
Follwing the instructions on https://launchpad.net/~xorg-
edgers/+archive/ppa fixed the issue for me:
All:
libdrm's epoch was accidentally bumped in this PPA, if you updated
I upgraded Xorg and its drivers using the Xorg edgers PPA and now
performance is good.
