Since daily-live (lucid desktop amd64 01.04.2010) first boot-screen uses wrong
resolution (attached picture).
Error message are not shown during boot anymore (but they're still in log).

Having trouble getting the box to boot at all with Lucid + xorg-edgers,
as xserver-xorg-video-intel requires mode switching enabled in the
kernel but leaving nomodeset=1 off the options line makes the machine
boot into a video mode that its monitor doesn't support (probably

successfully suspends the machine. Opening the lid successfully bring me back
to my desktop.

motherboard. I did get both my custom boot splash and my custom
login-screen splash, though. (Actually I just updated the system with
apt-get after blacklisting the viafb, and the initrd happened to be

same CPU and motherboard as KeithM, and found that 9.10 froze within

This is not fixed.
The issue with multiple keypresses generated by the Dell XPS M1330's
media keys is a hardware problem with the Dell laptop, and it is not
fixed. The media keys (volume adjustment, play/pause, stop, next, prev)
on the M1330 are touch-sensitive keys placed in a row above the norma
still a problem with latest xorg in the Lucid repos.

Just moving the mouse from one end to the other should definitely not
cause 100% cpu usage.

I'm getting the same errors after todays upgrade from Karmic to Lucid:

If I attempt to move the mouse from one end of the screen to the other, it
pauses half way in between and cpu usage goes to 80% - 100% (measured in htop)
The lack of responsiveness makes it unusable.
I will try jaunty and see...I don't recall having this issue with it.

Please collect a full backtrace on this X crash.
I tried extracting the backtrace from your .crash file (which is a
