Whenever I want to switch monitors, I have to restart Ubuntu. If I work
on the laptop screen, suspend, dock, then resume, it never detects th
Karmic Live CD will still not work but forcing it to install immediately
with the vesa driver and manually install the 185 driver should work.

I've found you can boot to GUI if you install the Nvidia driver. The way
I did this was download and save to usb drive the driver from
ftp://download.nvidia.com and then log in as the user ubuntu, mount the
drive and then install. I think this bug for me has something to do with

I am running KDE session w/o compositing. I was running Kontact and
Chromium (from daily ppa) and the crash happened when a issued a reload
of launchpad.net/+buil
Bryce: Since the latest libdrm update today that pulled in the new
libradeon library I have not experienced the inverted display problem
anymore. Prior to that update the 3.0.4 update of virtualbox no longer
