We're available Apr 28-29 and May 5-6. The beginning of May might be easier
for us but it's not a big deal. :-)

I'm unavailable the first two weekends after the release (Apr 28-29 and May
5-6) for work travel. I may or may not be available the weekend of May
12-13. If 19-20 is too late for folks, then do
When would you be available Steve?

Looks like they add 15% so might need to bump it up slightly but I guess we
have some
time.
Lets see about feedback or maybe other ideas? Let it simmer for a few days
and then
we can nail things down and submit a request?

so i might suggest just hanging out discussing new features in the release
and
having a good community building opportunity.
So what say we $100 weekend rental of the guest room?

I think that's probably about as much as we'd see, yes. I think there's
probably more folks who would come that are in PDX. Maybe if we
circulate this around local meetups and like minded groups, perhaps we
can get a little more draw. But yeah, I can't imagine it being too huge.

Sorry about that! So with release date on April 26th it might make sense to
do the 28th and my
guess is since we have not done events in Portland for some years turnout
might be light but
perhaps around 15-20 people.
If we wanted we could meet at the Lucky Labrador on Hawthorne it is a large
space
Weekends would be preferable to most for sure

As the guy with the contacts in Portland, I'd be inclined to lean
heavily on you, Ben. With that in mind, I think we make do with whatever
is convenient for you and/or the venue. I think the only requirement I
have is to do it on a weekend and as close as possible to the actual
release date.

I guess we should figure out a venue first and then put up an rsvp to gauge
how many would turnout then we’d have a idea for food and beverage and
maybe some swag. Let me reach out about a venue now.
What date are we thinking? What would work best for folks?

Sure. How much should I request? Canonical usually wants a breakdown of
costs.

Hoping wxl is still willing to make a funds request as the loco lead as
this will
be essential for making this happen. If he is then I can start asking about
a venue in Portland.

Just checking in on this and seeing if there's anything that I can do on my
end and to get discussion picked back up.
Hope everyone had a decent holiday!
