Folks: Elizabeth encouraged me to reach out to the users group, so here
I am. Previous conversations are included for background. Is there
anyone here who could meet up with me / who might be able to help with
this issue (*bold*)? Thanks in advance. Larry

Bear in mind, too, that I think you can still register for a free pass
to the exhibit floor (only) by using the code OS11FREE when you
register (it'll deduct the $25 admission). Once you're in on the
exhibit floor, you can help Mark out at the booth.
Simple enough, eh?

Actually, the schedule's not up yet, but it will be soon. We're
migrating the site in the next couple of days. I'll get you a
schedule.
We'd love to have the SoCal folks up for this.

If someone wants to be the point guy/gal for the LoCo and contact me

I can't organize it, but I know that the Felton LUG would welcome the
opportunity to have a Jaunty event at its next meeting on May 2. So if there
are any Ubunteros in Santa Cruz County (or nearby) interested in this, they
can contact me for details.

Having said this, Grant is right when he asks that a link to "local

Agreed. Also, part of keeping the momentum going at times when we might be
at loggerheads -- like on this issue, for example -- it would benefit us to
keep in mind that we can easily reserve the right to disagree with each

Sorry I missed the meeting last night. I had connectivit
the ones that have a name of being easy to use. I've never
used plain Debian, for example, but I like Ubuntu. And before Debian people
attack me - yeah, I know, I know, it's supposedly much simpler and easier to
install these days. But it certainly didn't use to be, so I

the end of a sentence like, "To see a list of Linux User Groups in your

I have an idea: Let's try acting our respective ages going forward and let's
bring some real arguments or debate in response.
