I have Remix 10.04 on a flash drive and Desktop 10.04 on a CD.
If I start the Live CD on my Tosh Satellite, it tells me that the
Wireless device is "not ready" and I can't connect.
If I run the Remix from the flash drive on the same machine it finds the
Wireless adapter and I can connect.

[Quote] That being said if anyone here would be interested in trying it
out it please send me an email. It wouldn't take more than 30 - 60 mins
and all you need is a laptop/desktop PC with a DVD drive and preferably
2GB of memory.
I'll play!!

The bundle was offering a Phenom X4 ... this was why I thought it might
be a good investment. But this morning it seems to have been

Heyhey fancy people,
I've decided to go wireless this year as I'm moving into a new house (and
sticking holes in the walls for Ethernet isn't an option), so I'm looking
for a wireless N card. Has anyone got one, or know of one that just works
out of the box on Ubuntu 10.04 (64 bit)? I'd prefer a P

I've got a budget of around £90 to spend on a second hand ebook
reader, and I'm looking at bidding on a Sony PRS-300 on eBay. Has
anyone had any good/bad experience with this particular device, and
has anyone had any experiences with using ebook readers on linux (I'm
planning to use calibre)?
I have used the sony ereader touch which I think is the prs-300. Works fine
on ubuntu 9.10 for me :)

I have the PRS-505 which just mounts as a storage device in Ubuntu and
works great with Calibre.
As far as I remember the PRS-300 is a bit skimpy with storage space and,
I could be wrong here, doesn't take storage cards.
Try for a PRS-505, if possible. I got mine new from Play.com for £140 a
