Hi Philip,
That's great, thanks for making a start - good work.
I've also made a start on the first 10 minutes of episode 2. I've made
a focus on readability also, and ignore

One application that might be suitable, "Transcriber" - It's in the
universe repository:
$ sudo apt-get install transcriber

IIRC, people talk at a rate in the order of 300-350 words a minute.

Hi,
I transcribed most of the Ubuntu Screencasts subtitles and as a guide it
took me around 4-5 hours for a 30 min video. Granted, I'm not a fast
typist and each line had to be sync'ed with the video/audio properly
afterwards, so I'm sure this project will be much quicker.
It definitely helps if y

I did wonder about this too - I would definitely be able to pitch in if

Hi All
I haven't responded to any of these before but I'd be happy to get involved
with the transcribing. Not being a coder I'd still love to do my bit for the
community and this sounds like a great way to go about it.
Cheers

Hi,
Would any of you be willing to put a bit of time into transcribing the
Ubuntu UK Podcast into plain text format?
It doesn't need to be one person doing every episode, but each person
could pick one ep, and do that, and then do another when they have time.
Any volunteers, questions?
