There are two critical questions you should ask yourself:
1) What if your server died; say the processor/memory/CPU failed -
will the few-day-outage, while waiting for a spare part, be a problem
for your customers? If so, you will want to consider a second
hot-standby server.
2) What if the serve
The problem with Firefox / Thunderbird is they are profile-based. So,
you will find Thunderbird application store directory at
~/.mozilla-thunderbird/somerandomname.default/
Lightning stores its settings using the usual Thunderbird config
settings, which is:
~/.mozilla-thunderbird/yourprofilename.
You may have some success running the real Adobe Flash under wine:

You could also install XP inside Virtual Box, running inside Ubuntu -
saves having to mess about with partitions etc.

For Picasa, you could download it for Linux from
