Don't know if it helps anyone here, but the latest developer release is 2.0.170.0, I currently have it installed on Windows XP and it runs fine. It was originally the Chrome browser but receives updates from the Chromium server, so it's now a hybrid ;-) See if you can update to the latest devel

You say that the DNS stopped working? It doesn't seem likely. Can you ping your router via the IP address? `ping 192.168.0.1` (or whatever) should work regardless of DNS, while `ping my.router.com` (whatever your routers dns name is) relies on DNS. `ping www.google.com ` will resolve the IP addr
