FWIW, working from your patch, I added /dev/null as an argument to the

We just spend some time on #ubuntu-bugs triaging this one and this is
what we found out.
For some time the agent responsible for caching ssh passwords is Gnome
Keyring and dialog is displayed by gnome-keyring-prompt. Gnome Keyring,
as stated on its website supports both SSH v1 and SSH v2 protocols

I've added all of the packages that depend on libdbi0 as bug tasks.
Once libdbi is fixed, each one of them will need to be rebuilt against
the new version.
Since the ABI changed, the -dev library needs to be named libdbi-dev,
not libdbi0-dev.

I rebooted the computer fixing the package with the --configure -a as the
package manager requested.
I have managed to apply all the upgrades that the upgrade manager required
except the mysql 5.1 upgrade. And rebooted again.
I attempted to do the mysql upgrade separately. After 24
I've applied another fix (revno 1236, 1.6.2 branch) that makes cleanup
of volumes more robust (1235 solves part of the problem). This has been
tested on our end.

I have just reinstalled from scratch (i.e., full Ubuntu install +
Eucalyptus all-in-one). I just installed the CLC+Walrus+CC/SC.
Upon logging in, I verified the /var/lib/eucalyptus/keys/*.pem to be the
same as /var/lib/eucalyptus/keys/UEC-TEST1/*.pem. CC was up and running
and on certificate error
Node registration amounts to only two things: the IP being added to
NODES= in eucalyptus.conf (or to nodes.list on the UEC) and keys
synchronized between the CC node and the NC node. Neither CLC nor CC are
involved in the operation, so they do not need to be running. For keys
to be present, though,

Sorry but I have the same issue in a fresh installation on Ubuntu Server
10.04. On server boot openvpn autostart fail, but after the login when I
run "/etc/init.d/openvpn start" it start normally. In the
/var/log/syslog it says that it can't assign the ip address to the

On two consecutive amd64 installs, Carlos had one failing, then one
working. So it does not seem to be arch-related, just some kind of race
that i386 happens to win more often than amd64.

This morning the VM and host both still had networking. As I can't reproduce

as you have a working workaround (cheezy periodic ping) and a new LTS to try,

certs over on the ./ would do the trick.

I just tested it (and will re-test, now with a bit more of objectivity).
It seems Eucalyptus (2.0~bzr1233-0ubuntu2) is storing certificates on
two different places, at least on a topology 1:
/var/lib/eucalyptus/keys for the CLC (and, probably, the Walrus, perhaps also
the SC)
/var/lib/eucalyptus/
This is probably an issue with the debian ipv6 support patch
(jjo-ipv6-support.patch).

Trying to run an instance, the instance starts up but never goes from "pending"
to "running".
nc.log shows:

Sept. 2010; bug is still present, I still have to comment the "send
host-name "";" for Network Manager to send the string entered
into the 'DHCP Client ID' field. Otherwise it simply gets ignored.
