In my opinion, normally sentence capitalization (not each word
capitalization, but just important words) would be the right way to go,
but as the manual has so many titles and subtitles, sentence
capitalization isn't very convenient; it looks a bit messy too.
Now, I urge that all the capitalizatio

Thanks for liking!
Well, as expected, we have likes and unlikes.
To Thorsten:
Well, I know we kind of 'settled' something on the IRC chatroom, but
still that only involved you and vish... I think the opinion of
non-artists is important too, for they have eyes as well.

Well, after all this reading, 'Getting Started with Ubuntu 10.04' has
started to sound nice to my ears. I think I will give it a +1 (we got to
have a voting system for this, or is it definitive?). I would prefer

I think that Thomas Cantara's feedback is great. In fact, I support it.
Vish, I don't quite understand what you are saying about alphas and
betas; as I read the wiki page you linked us to, I couldn't find a "only
for use with alpha and beta releases of Ubuntu" warning. The words

Hi, as of an hour and a half ago, our friend Kevin Godby pushed a new
command identified as \chaplink which renders the number and name of a
chapter, in the following format:
Chapter #:
It also makes a link to that chapter, so that a click leads to it.
To use it, you simply have to write \chapl
200 UTC is perfect for me. Any day.

Well, as the writer of chapter 5 I am glad you noticed my mention :)
But yes, I think it is very important that this piece of information
gets cleared out to a bigger extend and earlier in the book. As far as I
know, the project founder Benjamin Humphrey is working on the prologue,
and judging by
Hm, this is great news.. It seems that the project is finally going
official.
About ground control.. what a great idea! I imagine that Martin has
something in mind similar to the autorun button that appears on a bar in
nautilus when you open a cd/dvd, but instead with push and pull
buttons... nice
Nice work team!

Hi, I found this website below to have some good advice on writing
manuals. Specifically computer manuals.

Well, I think that creating a site for the manual is not really worth
it. I think the wiki is doing just fine, and it is not because I am
being mediocre or anything, but I just think that the manual itself is
all there is to the manual project, so a site would be unnecessary and
hard to fill out.
Ok, here is piece of thought.
I do think we have to re-organize the manual. I think Ilya is proposing
an interesting arrangement, but that Benjamin also has a point in
keeping the number of chapters low. But I don't think we should do it
because people might not want to read the manual as a whole,
Well, as of now both me (wolter, wolterh) and vish (@ #ubuntu-
a...@irc.freenode.net) are working on versions for it. You both know, but
just for the record.

Hi, I think that the extra packages should have a predefined template,
instead of being so freestyle.
I suggest this order:

Ok, I think that code blocks is the only way to go as for this matter.
Why? They make it easy to distinguish between what is author-written
normal text and what is a command or something.
Now, I have a little suggestion here respecting commands.
Commands to be entered as root should be preceded wi
