Do you need the texlive package or texlive-full?
I installed texlive and ran make and got this:

Joe,
I do agree that it would be better if the translations started from
alpha onwards - that way at least all the main content should be fully
edited and we won't be changing niggly things.
But I don't want to turn away the two people who have offered their
help - surely there must be something
Hi,
Yes it's something like what you've described. LaTeX is way of storing
and writing documents that keeps the bzr merging working properly.
It's an alternative to just using plain text, as it provides a lot
more options and formatting.
What you're referring to "back in the day" is probably Laun
I don't think they're planning on replacing Synaptic with the Software
Center by 10.04 - that's further down the track.
Yes the target audience is primarily GUI oriented.

Thanks for the information and time guys, let me see if I am getting
this right, if latex is mainly for the final product (honestly I do
not know what exactly latex does) then this is what we ("we" as in me
and whoever is translating) can leave for when the main work is done,
in the mean time proba
This is an interesting issue, There is not built in way to do
translations at all in latex, so we will have to figure that out. I will
look into it, but it might require that we just have separate branches
for diff languages. I am not familiar enough with bzr to figure out if
there is a way to bra
In my draft, I'm only going to write a guide for software center. By 10.04,
all the functions of Synaptic should be included in Software center (am I right
about this?). I'll mention Apt-get and the Command line, but only for the sake
of completeness. I assume our target audience is primarily G

Hi everyone,
I think this is a good idea, basically I will send out an email every
Monday to the mailing list with important information for the coming
week, and I will also include anything noticeable that has occurred in
the weekly meeting the previous Saturday.
I'm going to condense some impor
Hi Anwar,
At the moment we haven't actually set up translation support with
LaTeX and Launchpad Rosetta - but this is a top priority and we should
have this up and running hopefully before the end of this week.
In the mean time, perhaps you could get the current branch revision

Joe,
Looks great, I'll try your instructions out tomorrow when I finally
get round to writing some more on Chapter 3.
The notes look good :)
Cheers,

Hi RJ,
I'm sure someone can help you out - I don't know anything about
Rosetta and Translations and how they work with LaTeX.
Could someone help him out?
Also, RJ, might pay to join #ubuntu-manual on irc.freenode.net :)
As for the suggestions on the english text version, easiest way is
