I have not had this problem with the new version. The problem seems to
have been caused by me changing the hostname and domain of the system
incorrectly. Once everything was put back to the original Apt began to

I have the same bug on my Hardy install. I installed the 0.8 version
from https://edge.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/+files/sunbird_0.8
+nobinonly-0ubuntu0mt804_i386.deb and Sunbird started correctly. Yay!
It even correctly syncs with Google Calendar CalDAV, after I hit Ctrl-R.

OK, that sounds good.
Is the upstream work you're mentioning their inclusion of libnss support
(and by extension its smartcard support)? If so, AFAICS that doesn't
allow using smartcards for wireless connections until wpasupplicant gets
extended with libnss support, which I was under the impressio
I would have thought that a non-functioning help component within a
major application, delivered via a very recent distribution would have
raised some flags by now.
If I can fix this myself please give me the instructions. A newbie
here, but not afraid to follow clear instructions.

I am pleased to report that this has been fixed on my system. I did
nothing myself, so I assume it came from a pushed patch. Thanks to all
