Patrick, I couldn't agree more...
Ok, strictly speaking it's not an unavoidable hardware bug because Win7 works
well. But...
I installed Fedora w/ Gnome3. It took me 2 days to install everything and
configure the whole (dual boot) system as I like.
Than yesterday evening the "up" key broke. It s

After a couple of weeks my 'del' key got screwed up again.
This is getting to be a bad joke.
I confirm that you can flash the BIOS to the same version using
C:\BIOS\56cn43ww\WinFlash.exe C:\BIOS\56cn43ww\56CN43WW.ROM /FORCE
but it makes no use.
However it does if you do it with an older version,
It just happened to me in precise. I am doing regular updates etc. After
killing it everything looks fine.

I confirm that draining the battery makes this error go away. However I

Dear Christopher,
Looks like my post was too early. Yesterday i tried to connect for the 1st

tried and it just worked. I haven't downloaded updates or anything. I think
there's no point in filing a report now. If I m
Hi,
Is this the same bug as
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/978807 ?
Does it mean we'll have a fix for Precise released soon?

Carlos, do you have a dual boot machine? You can download the firmware
update for windows from Lenovo's homepage. This will fix the issue at
least once...
Cliff, thank you, i'll try to figure it out when it breaks next time.
I think, however, that flashing the firmware on a regular basis from op.
I have a similar problem with somewhat different hardware. I use a Lenovo u300s
and a Logitech M310 set.
When the receiver is plugged in the USB3 port the keyboard works fine but the
mouse does not.
You can see it detected when you list xinput however.
In the USB2 port they both work fine.

Ariel, I also tried Fedora and my keys got messed up, see #57.

Oh my...! Yes, it was. I am so ashamed I posted this report.
You can believe me, the first thing I checked was if the sound is muted when
there was only alsa (with lubuntu, no pulse comes by default).
After installing pulseaudio I probably checked only the volume levels and not
