Public bug reported:
The problem lies in the interaction of xscreensaver and skype.
I have long-running text chats. When the screen is locked and blanked,
newly arriving skype chat notifications still appear on the screen. This
is a privacy leak as all new messages are visible.

Yet another follow-up:
I did a 'pkill -9 evolution' after which I could start evolution.
After a logout/login evolution would not start. After a pkill it did.
Removing the evolution background servers from the session startup cleared the
problem.
I could then also start evolution automatically a

A lot of development and bugfixes happened in libwebsockets since version 2.0.3.
Changelog: https://github.com/warmcat/libwebsockets/blob/master/changelog
We have been using libwebsockets 2.3.0 in some of our projects and found
it to be much more stable than earlier releases.

Based on this, could you please reconsider enabling thread support in
this package for the upcoming Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic) release?
Many thanks,

I have two machines, both running xubuntu. They use the same keyboard
and mouse interfaced through a kvm.
The machine upgraded from 14.10 to 16.04 works fine.
The machine with a clean 16.04 fails. xev shows no middle button, but
the wheel works fine.
Both are fully updated.

I have managed to make it work by killing e-addressbook-server and all
the other evolution processes, deleting the ldap password from my
keyring and starting again. It is conceivable that the keyring became
corruupt, but the password has not changed in yonks, so something is
rotten somewhere.

I suspect that this is a duplicate of 1010349 and 1292166
I also suspect that the problem is that evolution is starting before the
keyring is unlocked. When the keyring is unlocked e-addressbook-server
does not recover its connection. Killing and restarting therefore clears
the problem.

Windows and macos implement both A2DP and HFP and switch on the fly when
