I can confirm this bug. But my install on the 4th Nov 07 install the
symlinks into /usr/lib/firefox/plugins and /usr/lib/mozilla-
firefox/plugins and they both point to
/usr/lib/helix/player/mozilla/nphelix.* but the plugin is still not
picked up by firefox.

The fix for the resolution was this for me.
gksu /etc/default/grub
and add the line after GRUB_GFXMODE

No plymouth at startup. Fsck messages then corrupted sort of blue/white
progress bar at bottom of screen. Locked up solid at gdm had to reisub
and reboot twice to get in to desktop. Using the terminal causes a hard
freeze too.
This is after purging and reinstalling plymouth to
Terminal has decided not to lock up solid this reboot.

Evolution 2.30.1.2 Maverick meerkat
Still has this bug. Just been testing. This really needs fixing.
Just had an email from maplin .co.uk which took 30 seconds to retrieve
all the product images.

Using Lucid 10.04. No notification sounds.
Added this .wav file to /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo/message.wav and changed
this key value
/apps/evolution/eplugin/mail-notification/sound-file in gconf-editor
It now works. Seems it does not like .ogg files.
Should be a simple fix the devs can do
I'm getting this. From mount.
none on /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs type debugfs (rw,relatime)
However is it related to high memory usage on boot up.
With just firefox and a terminal I'm getting this.

Update rebooted and found the /var/lib//ureadahead/debugfs not mounted.
Memory steady at 500 meg after 1 hour. Using firefox, evolution and
terminal.

Ok installed mainline kernel and it's similar. Started of at 18MB/sec
then after 280 MB transferred started to slow down progressively but
very stop start too. It was report 8mins to finish but actually took
much longer.

My problem namely the gdm lockup on pressing the enter key to login can
be got around by alt+SysRq+k then login again.

Thats the copy and paste bug again at work.
Seems to paste a previous copy. Bug 516412 was linked in post #53 which
