i started with the syslog approach. it didnt work. then for simplicity I tried
the tail method and get the following:

a very annoying workaround is to unplug the network cable and boot. then
once the login screen is up, plug it back in and the card works as
expected with no errors

this happened in a fresh install of alpha 5 plus updates. restarted
the network manager and the crash report tool took over from there and
reported bug 267508. following emails reported that it was a dupe of
bug 261808. so short answer is yes it's still happening. only
difference is that for me net

I tested it with the live cd(Alpha 5) and the video never came back so
don't know if it worked there. I installed it to the hard drive and it
failed causing lots of system problems.

just updated on 6 sept 2008 which should be alpha 5. rebooted. still the
same repeating 2 lines. did the restart and noticed this in the logs.

It happened again. system was frozen after some time. forced reboot.
logged in, ran firefox, while firefox loding system froze.
so it has nothing to do with unison. have not ruled out virtualbox as
the vboxnet0 is still showing under ifconfig -a
attached is the log between reboots. Its under a mi
happened again, this time I got a log message. I hit quit in unison
after doing an update using the socket method.
any chance this could be caused by opening and closing sockets on a
bridged wireless device, since this time is says pulse audio is tainted,
which uses sockets?

also have this problem. amd64 nvidia drivers.
it can be reproduced by changing the screensaver from the preferences menu
once there click on the different screen savers. some load the preview, and
some cause a crash. mostly the ones like glxgears and blinkbox
attached are xorg log and conf files.
forgot to mention a temporary fix.
set the screen saver to blank screen.
no pretty screen savers but less crashing.

OK, so it seems that my previous comment was posted too fast. Disabling
USB mouse in BIOS *does* help. I have two separate options "USB mouse
support" and "USB keyboard support". Disabling both of them gives me
working keyboard (PS/2) and mouse (USB).

On initial boot it goes to 1000 but after resume it will only connect at 100.
it must be forced with ethtool back to 1000 and then it works fine.
notice how the first run of ethtool shows that the 1000 speeds are

I installed a different version of Ubuntu (Voyager Live) and the problem

I upgraded to 13.04 removed the hold. The bug is present. the printouts
are shifted up by ~5mm and to the left ~6mm.

same here on a hp G72
Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g LP-PHY
While on battery power file transfers of files to a local network machile are
limited to around 150KB/sec
when on AC power the full speed is achieved.
steps to reproduce: (Note I have a 5 mb connection)

Please add this update to the Ubuntu archive for download. I removed
fail2ban on my system and then reinstalled it. Fail2Ban v0.8.2 with the
bug is still downloading, as of 05/16/08.
