Public bug reported:
after testing a new screen resolution then pressing "OK" the selected settings
are not applied.
initial settings plug n play set at 800x600
steps to reproduce
change monitor to lcd panel 1024x768
select resolution 1024x768
select test
select keep configuration
select ok
settings are not applied. they are only applied if you skip clicking the
test button. seems to work ok if you do not change the monitor at the
same time you change the resolution.
this is 8.04 beta alternate install on virtualbox
