Since Xen is still shipping out 2.6.18 the Ubuntu teams have to re-

The patch does not help me. But, I did some testing to isolate the
problem and found some info which is perhaps interesting for others.

Migrated from last to current stable Kubuntu version.
Kmail crashes when starting, or freezes.
I did some testing to isolate the problem and found some info which might be

Public bug reported:
Since Ubuntu 10.04 is becoming the new LTS, i would suggest including
PHP 5.3 in this new release, since we have to use it for about 5 years.
I found a discussion on the "ubuntu-devel" list about this topic:

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: cachefilesd
Hello,
In #440522 i reported that NFS and AFS modules were not compiled into
the kernel, so caching NFS was not possible with cachefilesd.
I build my own kernel on the Ubuntu sources with these modules enabled
and started testing.

After the last system updates, the situation has changed.
I now see the yellow Twinkle icon at the upper left of the screen instead of
the system tray.

OK, nice just found out that the behavior is changed again.
I have the old behavior of the original bug report back. But, one thing has
improved.
If I start Twinkle immediately after starting KDE, it is invisible (unchanged
behavior)
If I start Twinkle approx. 5 minutes later, the icon is i
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: cachefilesd
I just upgraded my desktop to Ubuntu 9.10 because i wanted to test the
cachefilesd package for caching NFS.
My /home directory is running over NFS, so i hoped cachefilesd would
give me some performance.
After installing and configuring i saw
Ah, sounds great!
And since i am not that into compilen modules myself, how could i
compile the .ko files myself so i can load them manually?
I should be able to build these files against the source without
rebuilding my whole kernel, right?

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: twinkle
When I click the Twinkle icon, it starts, but is completely invisible.
I can see the Twinkle process with 'top'.
No icon on the desktop (like bug #378155), I can only kill the process.
