Hallo,
if I try to set the shortcuts for the keyboard using the appropriate
tool of the systemsettings of KDE 4.1 (Kubuntu 8.10) the program hangs
at once and the CPU-applet and "top" show that "systemsettings" uses
100% of CPU. I have to use "kill -9" to stop 2systemsettings
I can confirm this bug. Writer and furthermore the whole kde- and xfce-
gui (I use Kubuntu 9.04) crash, if I open any rtf-document and scroll
down.

I used the gnome bluetooth system in the last beta of kubuntu 8.10. And
it worked fine. But I had to install nautilus which needed a lot of
gnome packages :-( But then it did the way it should do: I could
exchange files between my computer and my mobile phone unsing bluetooth.

I followed Till's advice. If I tried to print a testpage and did "lpq" I
saw that my Laserjet 1300 ist ready and printing, but nothing happened.
In syslog I found the following message:

I changed the backend to "hal". Result is the same.

But printing using my HP Laserjet 1300 doesn't work. In the HP device
manager I get an "Device communication error".

after logging into the xfce-desktop, using then programs from the xfce-
menu and returning to kde my own kde-menu disappeared sometimes and I

I observed the following: After upgrading to kernel 2.3.0-36 on my
desktop and on my laptop I often see that fsck clears orphaned inodes on
ext4-filesystems when I reboot. I didn't saw that before the upgrade.
