I am confirm this bug on ubuntu 8.10 64 bit, my notebook is also a HP
NX7400 with an intel I945GMA on board graphical chip. Anyone who knows a
solution? Sometimes when my wifi is not unabled, my notebook goes into
sleep when closing the lid, so I suspect that this bug has something to

I have the same problems with a Canon Lide 20. On my machine dmesg gives
no error message and lsusb lists the Scanner correctly:

I have the same problems and resolved it just by booting with the latest
but one kernel that was automatically installed during the update from
Edgy to Feisty. Obviously, the latest but one kerne was not compiled
with the USB_SUSPEND-option. Now my Lide 20 works fine again.

In Unity 2D, the workspace switcher falls back to the Compiz window picker
(from the Scale add-on). I believe this is the logical and desired behaviour.
But whatever is decided on the issue, Unity 2D and Unity proper should behave
consistently.

I upgraded to Karmic yesterday by clean installing Jaunty then
`do-release-upgrade` overnight.
I wanted to rate some of my music, so I click 4.5 stars in the information pane
of Dolphin.
I expected this rating to register and hold its state.
Update: it seems there had been a package update that had not fully been
applied which was interfering with Dolphin.
After fully updating all packages again I no longer encounter this bug.

You are mixing up different things. My "political" decision was to
not bring up any time to implement PSK
AFAICS, kernel-libipsec is not part of the Ubuntu strongSwan package,
hence it can't be enabled.
Not sure if there are that many uses cases for kernel-libipsec on a
standard Linux distribution to justify its inclusion; kernel-netlink is
preferable on >95% of use cases.

No, this doesn't seem to work, as NM does some changes to that
interface, breaking things completely.
Passing "lo" seems to work, though

I have exactly the same problem on my PC using a GTX460. I have no idea
if the problem is inside LightDM or the nvidia driver. The latter works
perfectly once started manually.
