I had this bug in 2.4.1 but I just upgraded to 2.4.2 and the bug has
gone in my case. The unread message count does reflect the actual
unread messages as I read them. The message list also displays

and hibernate while on battery are set for the same time period. When

I can confirm I'm also seeing this regression. Also policykit-kde is
not even available as a package. If I install policykit-gnome then I am
prompted for a password from kpackagekit on software install/upgrades.

I just finished an update, rebooted, logged in, closed the laptop lid.
When I opened the lid, I was at a login prompt and not an unlock prompt.
After login in again, all open apps were no longer running, but I no
longer get a crash report.

I am having a similar problem so may be related to this bug. The client
connects, I can see the mouse cursor moving around, but all I see is the
mouse cursor and a black screen at the client.
A workaround for me was to disable desktop effects (compiz) on the host
and I was able to view my desktop

Evolution closes after I enter my mapi password

Binary package hint: evolution
After I launch Evolution, my exchange 2003 mapi password is requested,
as soon as I enter the password, evolution closes and apport runs.
Apport eventually comes back with a message about assertion and that it
can not report this type of bug.

I've not seen this bug in at least 7 days now. I haven't installed any
updates from any PPAs, only updates from Karmic and Karmic proposed.
